GRADUATION With the Grad and Go around the corner, the Okkodo team would like to ensure all graduates and their families are familiar with the Grad & Go plans. A Google Live Stream will take place at 6PM on Friday, May 29, 2020. The Live Stream will discuss the Grad and Go plans in detail in preparation for the June 2 alternative graduation ceremony. Here are the latest updates: GRADUATION The graduation ceremony for Okkodo High School will be a drive-through Grad and Go. The ceremony will be for one day and will take place on June 2, 2020 beginning at 8AM. Graduates are allowed one (1) vehicle with a total of five (5) in the vehicle. 5 = 1 Graduate + 4 guests (including driver). Passengers are not allowed to ride behind the bed of a pickup truck. Face masks must be worn by all passengers in the vehicle. A memo from GDOE regarding these guidelines will be sent out this week. Vehicle passes will be issued for the Okkodo graduation. Passes may be picked up during senior clearance. Live streaming services will not be available. Instead, an edited graduation video will be premiered and showcased at a later date. More details to follow upon approval from all vendors with the respective permits. Graduates, who do not wish to participate in the graduation ceremony, may pick up their diploma at the main office from an administrator. Date and time to pick up the diploma are at the discretion of the school administrator. SENIOR CLEARANCE Senior clearance will take place on Tuesday, May 26 to Thursday, May 28. In order to adhere to the directives on physical distancing, students will be assigned dates based on last names. A-E: Tuesday, May 26 F-N: Wednesday, May 27 O-Z: Thursday, May 28 The safety protocol is as follows: - Only the student is allowed on campus to limit crowding. - Enter and exit from the Main Office. - Face masks must be worn at all times. - Physical distancing must be practiced at all times. Here are the latest updates: SENIOR CLEARANCE Senior Clearance will take place on Tuesday, May 26 to Thursday, May 28 from 8AM to 12PM. Students who are placed on the obligation list and students who are officers for a club/organization are required to clear. Students may be placed on the obligation list for any of the following reasons: Fees for broken or lost materials, borrowed library materials, course textbooks, sports uniforms or equipment, MCJROTC uniform or equipment, or club/organization materials or equipment. Students who are not affiliated with a club/organization or are not placed on the obligation list will not need to return to campus for clearance. ANNOUNCEMENT CARDS Gino's Graduation Announcement Cards may be picked up from me during the hours of senior clearance. CUMULATIVE FOLDERS Student cumulative folders (student records from each grade level) may be available for pick up on the day of senior clearance. LOCKER CLEARANCE Seniors are allowed to clear their belongings from their lockers on campus during the senior clearance hours. SENIOR CLEARANCE PROTOCOL Specific protocol and safety measures to ensure physical distancing will be sent out later this week. GRADUATION Graduation is set for June 2, 2020 beginning at 8AM at the Okkodo High School campus grounds. The ceremony will be a drive-through Grad & Go. BACCALAUREATE MASS The school will not coordinate a baccalaureate mass for the graduating class this year due to the current restrictions with services held in the parking lot. Our school’s computer operator, Ms. Ann Marie will be on campus Monday-Friday from 8AM to 11AM for hard copies of Official Transcript only. TRANSCRIPT FEES (Electronic or Hard Copy) $2.00 per Unofficial Transcript $3.00 per Official Transcript You must bring exact change. If not, you will be turned away. Walk-In Student may request in person for 1 or more hard copies of official transcripts from 8AM-11AM. You must: - Bring a valid photo ID - Bring exact change - Be in line no later than 10:50AM. Line will cut off at exactly 10:50AM. Students who arrive at 10:51AM will be informed to return the following day. SOCIAL DISTANCING MEASURES - One person only to make the request. - Only one student at a time will be able to enter the main office. - Plan accordingly to the weather in case there is a line. Bring an umbrella if needed. - Follow all instructions from school personnel on site. Requests made from Person other than Student - If a student is 18 years or old and has a parent/guardian request for the transcript, a copy of the student’s ID and a written authorization are needed. - If a military recruiter requests for the transcript on behalf of the student, a record release form signed by the student and/or parent is needed. Requests for 4 or more copies of transcripts Students must email Ms. Ann Marie at [email protected], so that it may be prepared in advance. Transcripts for Colleges in the Philippines Students must email Ms. Ann Marie. A different process is needed along with a good character letter request. Process for Emailing a Transcript Request Using your GDOE student email, send an email request to [email protected]. - Indicate if hard copy or electronic. - Indicate if official or unofficial. - For electronic requests only - Include the college name and email address of the college - Include the name and email address of the recruiter for military enlistment. Here are the latest updates: GRADUATION CEREMONY The school administration, senior council, and advisors met today to discuss the graduation plans. We are very close in finalizing the plans. However, we would like to survey all students to determine the number of students to expect for participation in the alternate ceremony. This information will allow us to ensure our plan is safe, organized, and efficient. Before we can send out a survey, we would like to share the tentative plans. This will offer more information for all students and their families to then decide if the student will participate in the ceremony. PRESENTATION OF GRADUATION PLANS The presentation of graduation plans will take place tomorrow, May 14 at 10A.M. and 12:00 P.M. via Google Meets. Presentation to the STUDENTS will be at 10A.M. Here are the latest updates: ALTERNATE GRADUATION A proposal for an alternate graduation ceremony was given to the school administrators. A meeting has been set up with the administration team this week to discuss the proposal. An email will be sent once approved. GINO'S CAP AND GOWN ORDERS Cap and gown orders may be picked up Monday-Friday from 11AM to 5PM. Although refunds may be honored, we highly encourage all families to wait for the alternate graduation plans to request for a refund. Last day to request a refund is May 31. SCHOLARSHIP RECIPIENTS The counseling team and senior advisors are requesting information from those who received a scholarship award or were accepted into a college/university. The team plans to recognize and celebrate all scholarship recipients. Plans for recognition are in the works. Here are some updates: GRADUATION STATUS Emails from your counselors can be expected in 1-2 weeks. Certification of grades and graduation status are ongoing and expected to be reviewed by the school principal. GINOS ORDERS Ginos will be opening Monday-Friday from 11AM to 5PM beginning on Monday, May 11. Ginos will be open for those picking up orders, assisting those with other cap and gown needs, and honoring requests for refunds. Please note the only item that is non-refundable is the class ring since it is a special made order. For those interested in a refund, please note that planning is ongoing for an alternative to the graduation ceremony, which means that the cap and gown may be needed. Once items have been refund, there is no guarantee that the same refunded items will be available. Please consider this when requesting a refund in the coming weeks. The following are the safety regulations requested by Ginos: - Mandatory face mask for all customers. If possible, gloves as well. - Customers must maintain a 6 feet distance between each other - Ginos will be implementing a 6 customer limit in the store, with 2 people per family only - Please have receipt (or photo of receipt) ready upon arrival. -If the customer is experiencing any symptoms of respiratory illness, fever, or just not feeling well, please stay home. TRANSCRIPTS UPDATE AS OF MAY 5, 2020, THERE ARE FEES FOR TRANSCRIPTS: Fees are as follows: Unofficial Copy - $2.00 Official Copy - $3.00 (Official copies will not be available until further notice.) Payment: A list of all students who requested for a transcript since May 5, 2020, will be compiled and sent to the Business Office. On the day of your senior clearance, you can make payments for your transcript request. Payments will not be accepted prior to your day of clearance.
